Class A Community 4 Miles West of New Exxon Mobil Campus Opens in 2015
AUSTIN, TEXAS (April 7, 2014) — Austin-based Oden Hughes LLC recently broke ground on a 384-unit Class A community called Parkside Place at the northwest corner of FM 2920 and Kuykendahl Road in the northwest area of Houston.
Conveniently located just 4 miles west of the new Exxon Mobil Corp. campus where more than 10,000 employees will begin working in 2015. Several additional large office projects totaling millions of square feet also are underway or planned in the area.
“It’s hard to find a better place in the entire country to build a first-rate apartment community right now,” said Oden Hughes co-founder Craig Hughes. “The office development and job growth underway is unprecedented, and a lot of these workers are going to want to live near their workplace.”
One-to-three bedroom units in Parkside Place’s three-story buildings will range in size from 525-to-1,400 square feet. Rental rates will range between $900 and $1,700 a month. Amenities will include a resort-style lap pool and sundeck; 24-hour fitness center; a dog- walking park and washing station; and a movie theater room.
Built by Oden Hughes Construction, the community will open mid-2015.
“This site is located in the hottest submarket in Houston,” said Houston land broker and ARA Vice President Tom Dosch. “With the Grand Parkway currently under construction directly to the north and Exxon beginning to fill their 385-acre campus a short drive to the east, this project definitely will benefit from the jobs and population growth in the area.”
Parkside Place will be the tenth project in Texas and the second in Houston for Oden Hughes, which was formed by two industry veterans, Steve Oden and Craig Hughes, in 2010.
The developer broke ground last summer on the 354-unit Parkside Grand Parkway in Katy. Located at the southwest corner of Katy Fort Bend Road and Grand Parkway, the Class A community will open in August.
